The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the operations room between 31½ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking aft showing a communications rating's desk with the fleet disposition board above it and the Opgen "A" illuminated stateboard to the left of it. A recorder unit, a transmitter/receiver/loudspeaker unit and a clock reading 11.10 are against the bulkhead on the left.
