The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is on the starboard side of the flight deck extension at 71 station on 1 deck looking to port, down and slightly aft showing the port side of the quarterdeck between 71 and 75 stations on 2 deck. A group of four seamen are standing near the quartermaster's position at the head of the accommodation ladder. A clock reading 11.10 is fixed to the inside of the open watertight door 2P2. The ship's officers' in/out board is fixed to the back of the quartermaster's desk. Covered liferaft stowage and an open deck cleaning gear locker are on the quarterdeck.
