On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the audio frequency compartment between 40¼ and 41¾ stations on the centreline of 01 deck looking aft and to starboard showing a control and communications supply system fuse distribution panel No. 12 manufactured by Aish & Co Ltd of Poole, a Redifon signal distribution unit and a loudspeaker against the starboard bulkhead. Against the aft bulkhead are a Redifon power supply unit, a Redifon amplifier unit, a loudspeaker, an Allen West & Co Ltd starter panel, a 62B receiver and an action information power supply unit. A vertical format negative.
