On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the radar display annexe between 30 and 32 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to port and slightly aft showing a design 197 marker interlacing cabinet, a design 219 co-ordinate converter cabinet and another unit against the aft bulkhead. Three electronic units, two being very similar, are against the port bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
