On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the electrical spare gear store between 15½ and 19 stations on the port side of 4 deck looking aft showing a shelving rack on the right and nests of drawers with shelves above on the left. A vertical steel ladder and a nest of drawers with shelves above are against the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
