Sketches of shipping in London Docks, one of the etchings in Henry Moses's 'Sketches of Shipping' series. The London Docks opened in Wapping in 1805, and for 21 years the company that ran them had a valuable monopoly on all tobacco, rice, wine and brandy arriving in the port.
