The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the engineer officer's cabin between 30 and 32 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to starboard. The access hatch to the fan compartment is in the forward bulkhead with a bookshelf above it. A settee berth and a loudspeaker are against the ship's side and above the settee berth is a framed photograph of a woman. A desk, two telephones and a Thermotank air conditioning unit are against the aft bulkhead.
