On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the weapons electrical office between 32½ and 34 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port showing two desks against the aft bulkhead. Filing trays, papers and a stores demand book are on the desks. A telephone and bookshelves are above the desks. Against the port side of the ship are an electric fire, a key cabinet and a combination safe. A thermotank air conditioning unit is against the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
