On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the weapons electrical office between 32½ and 34 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard showing two desks against the aft bulkhead. An Olivetti 82 typewriter, a filing tray and papers are on the desks. A noticeboard and a sliding door cupboard are above the desks. A full height steel cupboard is spot welded in the starboard aft corner next to the office door. A vertical format negative.
