The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the junior rates mess between 57 and 62½ stations on 3 deck looking forward and to starboard from the port side of the centreline at the forward end showing a greatcoat cupboard with boots or dirty clothes lockers above, a transformer, a fire main, fire hose basket, emergency connection box, fuse panel and a cable stowage bracket against the forward bulkhead.
