On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the communications control room (transmitting) (C.C.R. (TX)) between 28 and 31 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port and aft at the aft end of the room showing a workbench with a CU10 MCO H6 control unit and a distribution box circuit unit mounted against the starboard bulkhead above the workbench. A 692 transmitter cabinet is in the corner. A vertical format negative.
