On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the electronic maintenance room (air) between 50 and 54 stations on the starboard side of 01 deck looking forward showing a workbench with drawers and cupboards under and with wooden and Dexion shelving above against the starboard bulkhead. Another workbench with drawers and cupboards under, wooden and Dexion shelves above and a rack of Dexion shelving to the side is against the forward bulkhead.
