On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the electronic maintenance room (air) between 50 and 54 stations on the starboard side of 01 deck looking to port at the forward end showing a workbench with Dexion shelves above and a rack of Dexion shelving to the side is against the forward bulkhead. Two CO² fire extinguishers and an automatic emergency lantern are by the side of the door and aft of the door is a desk with a cupboard above. A vertical format negative.
