On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 28¼ and 31 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to port showing the open door to the transmitting station with a senior rate beyond it. A CV rectifier MRS 3 Mod 3, manufactured by Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd is next to the door and spray cans of Inhibisol and WD40 are on top of it. An armament broadcast gunnery section loudspeaker is against the bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
