On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in theprovision issue room between 45½ and 47 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard showing an electric fire against the starboard bulkhead. A bread locker is in the corner and a stainless steel worktop with drawers under is against the starboard bulkhead. Two crates of oranges and a cardboard box containing Cooperativa Agricola Produttori produce of Italy are on the worktop. A vertical format negative.
