On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the weapons workshop between 16 and 19 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking forward showing benches with nests of metal drawers under them. The bench against the port bulkhead has tools, toolboxes and ledgers on it and open shelves above it. A notice board and an electric fire are against the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
