The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the 4.5 inch magazine between 23 and 27 stations on 4 deck looking to port from the aft end showing the dumping platform, rope ladder and vertical steel ladder in the foreground. Two sets of bottle racks, each holding 96 cartridges, are athwartships on the port side. A vertical format negative.
