The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is in the combined radar office between 36½ and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard and forward from near the door showing a visual display unit on the deck. Against the starboard bulkhead are a fuse distribution panel for radar supplies manufactured by Aish & Co Ltd of Poole, an automatic emergency lantern and two CO² fire extinguishers. A work bench with a telephone, a type 993 radar aerial control unit, a radiac system indicating unit and a radiac system simulator connecting box above it is in the left background.
