On board the submarine Walrus (1959) alongside the fitting out berth at Scott's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd shipyard at Greenock, on the Clyde. The photographer is in the aft torpedo compartment at 108 station on the port side of the main flat looking aft showing a triple and a double tier bunk units in the stowed position on the centreline. Against the starboard side are lockers labelled 'Tube S.G. locker' and 'Bidder tools locker' and they have four smaller lockers above them, each labelled 'D.Vˢ. 6 Short'. Under the lockers is the stowage space for a Bidder torpedo. A stainless steel sink is in the right foreground against the port side and three lockers are abaft it, with stowage space for a Bidder torpedo below them. A notice on the locker states "Lockers to be removed for escape." Torpedo tube No. 8 is in the background with the hydroplane control gear below it.
