On board the submarine Walrus (1959) alongside the fitting out berth at Scott's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd shipyard at Greenock, on the Clyde. The photographer is in the main motor room between 92 and 103 stations on the main flat looking forward and to port from 100 station showing a bench with transductors and drawers under it. Above it are a connecting box for the portable handlamp charging panel, junction boxes, a telephone handset and a motor generator communication transformer. At the back of the bench close to the boat's side is a Smiths 15KVA 60 C/S DC/AC motor generator.
