The photographer is in the main generator room between 77 and 92 stations on the main flat looking to port and aft from 80 station on the centreline showing the port Admiralty Standard Range 1 16 cylinder diesel engine. A panel containing 14 circular gauges, an engine r.p.m. gauge and an Ardleigh governor are mounted on the front of the engine. Temperature gauges are fitted to each of the eight cylinders. A vertical format negative.
