On board the submarine Walrus (1959) alongside the fitting out berth at Scott's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd shipyard at Greenock, on the Clyde. The photographer is in the cold store between 74 and 77 stations on the starboard side below the main flat looking to starboard and slightly aft showing open perforated shelves. The forward and aft bulkheads, the boat's side and the deckhead are lined with a continuous cooling pipe connected to the refrigeration machinery in the air conditioning machinery compartment.
