On board the submarine Walrus (1959) alongside the fitting out berth at Scott's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd shipyard at Greenock, on the Clyde. The photographer is in the W.T. office between 69 and 72 stations on the starboard side of the main flat looking aft and to starboard showing a distribution board outfit D.X.G. manufactured by Aish & Co Ltd of Poole against the side of the boat and it has a bookshelf above it on which is a Type 619 manual. Against the aft bulkhead are a Smith Astral clock reading 5.05, a depth gauge graduated from 0 to 100 feet, a number of switched plug sockets, a 4-way junction box, a suppressor unit and a junction box for A.L.E. mast interlock circuits and QM10 indicating circuits.
