The photographer is in the senior rates mess between 42¼ and 49 stations on the starboard side of the main flat looking aft and slightly to port from 44 station showing a bed/settee with a hinged berth over and a valve chest next to it against the boat's side. A triple tier bunk unit with lockers are against the aft bulkhead and another triple tier bunk unit is on the port side. A drop leaf table and two locker seats are in the centre.
