The submarine Walrus (1959) in No. 6 dry dock at Devonport during her refit from 16 September 1968 to 14 November 1969. She was in the dock from 3 to 20 October 1969. The photographer is on the floor of the dock looking to port from the starboard side of the keel blocks showing the 22½ inch portable plate covering the Q tank kingston recess in the keel between 33 and 34 stations.
