The submarine Walrus (1959) in No. 6 dry dock at Devonport during her refit from 16 September 1968 to 14 November 1969. She was in the dock from 3 to 20 October 1969. The photographer is standing on the floor of the dock very near the starboard keel blocks looking aft and to starboard showing a very close view of the poker gauge and rope guard at the aft end of the starboard propeller shaft 'A' bracket. The tip of the propeller blade is covered in paper.
