The submarine Walrus (1959) in No. 6 dry dock at Devonport during her refit from 16 September 1968 to 14 November 1969. She was in the dock from 3 to 20 October 1969. The photographer is standing on scaffolding close alongside the starboard propeller shaft at 112 station looking forward and slightly to port showing the starboard eddy plate and shaft swell.
