The submarine Walrus (1959) in No. 6 dry dock at Devonport during her refit from 16 September 1968 to 14 November 1969. She was in the dock from 3 to 20 October 1969. The photographer is standing on scaffolding close alongside the starboard side of the keel looking aft showing the starboard propeller shaft 'A' bracket and three bladed propeller. The edges of the propeller blades are covered. A man in white overalls is standing by the propeller making notes.
