The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in No. 2 dry dock at Govan, Glasgow in December 1963 during the final stages of building. The photographer is inside the hull outfit 18 (type 177) search asdic trunk between 32 and 37 stations in the lower hull looking aft and to port showing the rotating transducer panel withdrawn from the dome. A telephone handset is on the left and an electric fire is against the aft bulkhead.
