The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge between 40 and 43½ stations on 01 deck looking aft from 41 station on the centreline showing the chart table with a Decca Navigator unit on it and a visual display unit alongside it. A clock reading 1.02, a fleet disposition board and a cupboard with a microphone above it are against the aft bulkhead on the left. The port bridge wing door is on the right.
