The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is on the quayside abreast the starboard side at 47 station looking to port and up showing the liferaft stowage at 01 deck level and the MRS 3 director on 02 deck level and the radar mast with the type 993 cheese aerial at the top and the mainmast with type 978 navigation radar on a forward projecting platform are abaft the director. The top of the mainmast is out of the picture. A canvas covered 20 inch signalling projector is abreast the radar mast. The brow is on the left. A vertical format negative.
