The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the electronic warfare office between 42 and 43 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking aft and to port showing the positions of two operators. Their equipment includes a Murphy B40 CAY receiver, a sound reproduction unit (tape recorder), three loudspeakers, a loudspeaker exchange, two morse keys and a microphone. The electronic warfare stateboard is against the port side of the ship.
