The photographer is in the operations room between 42 and 45½ stations on 1 deck looking to port and slightly aft from the starboard side at 43½ station. The commanding officer's visual display unit is on the left with the Admiralty Research Laboratory plotting table next to it. The commanding officer's communication panel including three microphones and a microphone control panel is under the deckhead and the stairs leading up to 01 deck are beyond it. Against the forward bulkhead are the three signalmen's positions.
