The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the wardroom pantry between 48½ and 50 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to port showing an Electrolux refrigerator and a sink unit with drawers and a cupboard under it and plate racks and an hot water urn above it against the aft bulkhead. An hoist, steel work surface, plate racks and a cupboard are against the forward bulkhead. An Andrex paper towel bin and a wooden roller towel rail are against the ship's side.
