The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the diesel generator compartment between 60½ and 65¼ stations on the port side and is believed to be looking forward from the port aft end of the compartment showing the port bulkhead on the left. The equipment in the foreground is thought to be part of the fan ventilation system trunking.
