The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the ship's and supply office between 56 and 57¾ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port from the doorway showing a desk, a table, pigeon hole shelves, an high level cupboard and a combination safe against the aft bulkhead. Two single pedestal desks with cupboards above are against the ship's side and a telephone is mounted on the side of the end cupboard. A filing cabinet with a worktop and a noticeboard are against the bulkhead in the right foreground.
