A starboard broadside view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Laconia (1922) at anchor in an unknown location.

A starboard broadside view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Laconia (1922) at anchor in an unknown harbour. She is in standard Cunard livery of black hull with white upperworks and her starboard anchor is deployed. She has an accommodation ladder rigged at a shell door amidships and one of her lifeboats is alongside it. Lifeboat numbers 1 and 17 have been launched. Three local single masted sailing boats are next to a wharf in the foreground and the brig Angelo (1864), seen from very fine off the starboard quarter, is moored loosely alongside the quay on the right. She is registered at Palermo but this negative was not taken at Palermo.
