A starboard broadside view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Laconia (1922) moored and anchored at Quarry Wharf, Grand Harbour, Malta.
A starboard broadside view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Laconia (1922) moored and anchored at Quarry Wharf in Grand Harbour, Valletta, Malta. She is moored stern-on to the quay and has both anchors deployed. She is in standard Cunard livery of black hull and white upperworks but the white has been extended down by one deck. An accommodation ladder is rigged at a shell door amidships and a large passenger tender stands off while another is secured at the foot of the ladder. Locals boats, including dghaisas, are clustered nearby as well as near the ship's stern. The photographer is looking north-east from a boat in the harbour.
