The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in No. 4 amplifier compartment between 44 and 45 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard showing a radar data and displays decoder cabinet, an A/S plotting circuits control unit, a generator and video mixer unit, an A/S plotting circuits J.D.A. monitor against the aft bulkhead. Against the forward bulkhead are A/S plotting circuits power cabinets and a marker interlacing cabinet.
