The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 45 and 50 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking aft on the port side showing predictor racks on the left. On the right against the ship's side are transformers, a test leads box and a contactor panel with a workbench in the corner. Against the aft bulkhead are a dynamic tester and a resistance panel.
