The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the electrical workshop between 46 and 47¼ stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking to starboard. A workbench against the forward bulkhead is fitted with drawers and shelves below, two small lockers and two sliding door cupboards above and is equipped with two large vices. Against the aft bulkhead is a small workbench with cupboards below and it is fitted with a small vice. Six lockers are fitted against the ship's side.
