The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) alongside the Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd fitting out berth at Linthouse, Glasgow during the final stages of building prior to 16 April 1964. The photographer is in the mortar projectile handing room between 68 and 71½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to port showing the loading frame and power rammers on the left. The pump and pump motor are in the starboard forward corner and the starter panels are against the forward bulkhead.
