The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in No. 1 dry dock in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is standing on the floor of the dock looking up and aft showing the cavity aft of the raised dome of hull outfit 18 (asdic type 177) between 32 and 37 stations. A three feet scale stick is in the cavity. Diver's search lines are painted on the hull.
