The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in No. 1 dry dock in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is standing on the floor of the dock looking forward and slightly to starboard showing the port bilge keels and the port stabiliser. Cathodic anodes are fitted to the ends of the bilge keel plating. Diver's search lines are painted on the hull and white circles are painted round various inlets and outlets in the hull.
