The type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in No. 1 dry dock in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is standing on the floor of the dock looking to starboard and slightly aft at the propeller shaft, 'A' bracket cone plates, rope guards and five bladed propeller. Scaffolding is erected around the shaft. Diver's search lines are painted on the hull.
