On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge between 40 and 43 stations on 01 deck looking forward and to port from the starboard side showing the communications positions on the right. In the forward extension are the captain's high chair and the pelorus. On the left is the end of the chart table with the serial board fitted on the end of it.
