On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck looking aft and to starboard from 51 station showing the deckhouse between 51 and 56 stations at the base of the mainmast. The watertight doors to the forward and aft Seacat ready use magazines and the port Seacat launcher crew's shelter are open. The forefunnel has a dhow logo on it signifying the ship is to operate in the Persian Gulf.
