On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck looking forward from 56 station showing the quadruple GWS 21 Seacat missile launcher on the left and the whip aerial for the type 640 radio. The Seacat launcher is aimed forward. The watertight doors to the launcher crew's shelter, the forward and the aft Seacat ready use magazines are open. The stairs lead up to 02 deck on which there is a 20 inch signalling projector.
