On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the executive officer's cabin between 48½ and 51 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to starboard and aft showing the settee berth against the ship's side and the desk with drawers under against the aft bulkhead. A telephone, papers and a 12 inch ruler are on the desk and document trays and bookshelves are above it. Bizarrely, one of the files on the bookshelf is titled "H.M.S. Nubian Section Eight Security Standing Orders".
