The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from 72 station on the port side of 01 deck showing the Mark 10 limbo mortar mounting between 68 and 72 stations on 1 deck. The barrels are trained forward and temporary covers are over the muzzles. The light cruiser Lion (1944) is in the background being stripped for spares prior to being broken up.
